Aaron Paris Founding Member Merit


The GNCDC is proud to introduce our second panelist for our 18th Annual Fall Luncheon and Economic Forecast.

Aaron Paris is a founding member of Merit Partners, LLC, a Chicago based firm focused on re-development, leasing and management. Merit’s major focus is the repositioning of the former Marshal Field Warehouse into a multi-use development. At completion The Fields 1.5 million square feet of existing buildings will contain office, residential, retail, industrial users and a 700 car parking garage. In addition the development will include a significant retail presence on its five acres on the south side of Diversey Avenue. In total there will be over $50,000,000 invested in the redevelopment and over 1,000 jobs will exist at this once vacant structure. When Paris joined Dermody Properties in 1998 it owned 12 million square feet of distribution and industrial properties of which 85% was located in the State of Nevada. Nine years later, under his direction, the company expanded its portfolio to 25 million square feet throughout the country with less than 50% of it in Nevada. In July, 2007 the portfolio was sold to Prologis for $1,850,000,000. In addition, Paris spent part of his 18 years for Metropolitan Structures as a senior executive in Los Angeles at its California Plaza CBD development and he relocated for three years to Montreal at Metropolitan Structures Nuns’ Island PUD development. Paris was a senior executive at Tooley & Company in Los Angeles.
